A wonderful final hole. The bunkering
frames the hole and creates a number of hazards both off the tee and
around the green. The greenside bunkers are dramatic visually and
present a playing challenge. The putting surface is sharply sloped.
The small swale to the right of the green is appropriately known as
“Death Valley.” There is a distinct advantage to playing a shot to a
particular side of the hole over most of the green. The green sits in
the middle of a large natural amphitheater which can easily
accommodate in excess of 5,000 spectators.
